Hi, I’m Natalie.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.

That means I have the honor of walking beside strong women like you as we journey into your heart and body to find what you need to heal.

I’ve been in your shoes before.

I know what it’s like…

  • Putting on that mask of being super confident, but underneath it all feeling like you’re falling apart and no one sees you

  • Feeling not good enough

  • Bottling up emotions until you explode

  • Constantly worrying about what other people think

  • Being totally overwhelmed every day, not sure how much longer you can keep going

  • Holding people at a distance and yet feeling so lonely

The good news is, I know there’s another way to live.

I have spent a lot of time on both sides of the couch

As a therapist, and also as someone seriously struggling and asking for help.

I was incredibly depressed for years, starting as a teenager. As time went on and I saw my problems intensify, I moved from guidance counselors… to mental health counselors… to substance abuse counselors… and finally, to holistic, mind-body-spirit healing practitioners.

Through years of trial and error, I got a really in-depth look at what works and what doesn’t.

I have found solid strategies for healing, and I want to share them with you.

You need someone who will quickly help you get to the root of the issues and shed some light on the way forward.

I want to help you reach your goals fast

I spent years in counseling feeling like I was spinning my wheels, never feeling any better.

Because of this, I became passionate about developing a method of efficiently getting right to the core of what’s going on so that you know as soon as possible exactly what’s holding you back.

It’s not your fault that previous attempts at therapy didn’t work.

You’ve talked with someone about your problems before, but somehow you still feel like shit.

Here’s why:

It’s not enough to simply talk about your problems.

You’ve been using your fearful, critical, perfectionistic mind to learn about yourself and plan for the future — which almost never works, because all it ever does is say that you’re terrible and predict that your adventure is going to be terrible, too. Your mind scares you out of taking any risks or doing anything that could be genuinely fulfilling.

Because our depression and anxiety are created by the mind, we must use routes other than the mind to get out of the loop.

How My Style Is Different

I have trained and specialized in accessing the wisdom of the body and emotions to bypass the over-thinking, pessimistic, paralyzing mind.

I use a style called Gestalt (also known as “empty chair work”), which gives the gift of getting you some actual literal distance between you and the negative thoughts that won’t leave you alone.

This style offers an outside perspective on your thoughts and relationships. When you see things from a different viewpoint, you get these “aha!” moments of intuitively knowing exactly what to do.

When you journey into your body, you are simultaneously taking a trip to meet your Highest Self.

And the cool thing is, diving deeper inside yourself will make it easier for you to take brave steps in your outer life as well.

You can say things you didn’t know you knew, and these newfound truths can strengthen you and transform your life forever.

I bring into the therapy room all the experiences I have healed from. I also bring humor, and curiosity, and more than a few four-letter words. (I’m a big fan of The Spiritual Way of Fuck It.)

My style is straightforward and blunt. I’m dynamic and spontaneous, and I love to play around to see what we can learn together. I will take you seriously, and I will also help you learn to laugh again.

What does change look like?

You were taught to tear yourself down, to aim low, and to use all your energy to take care of other people while leaving nothing for yourself.

It’s not your fault that your mind has been driving you crazy. It’s the natural by-product of an image-obsessed society that is deeply afraid of the wild creative potential of our emotions.

Imagine how wonderful your life could be if you learned to channel that crazy-making energy into finding yourself, feeling good, and fulfilling your deepest calling on this planet.

The real problem is not that you’re weak. It’s that you don’t trust yourself to be powerful.

By choosing to connect with the powerhouse that is your body, and to distance yourself from society’s shallow ideas that it’s more important to look good than to feel good — You will literally Own Your Colors. Your real colors — the True You.

Take the Next Step

When I work with people who have been to counseling before, they often say that one session with me has been more effective than years of meeting with someone else.

I believe that empowered, conscious women will change the world.

That’s why I would love to connect with you.

You can take the first step on your healing journey by contacting me or scheduling your free 20-minute phone consult.
